A run is something that you can either set up in advance or create retroactively. If you set it up in advance, you can upload a JSON with the rules you want to evaluate, stream data, then end the run. If you stream data and retroactively want to create a run and evaluate rules, you can do that too.
Running machine learning algorithms like regressions isn’t supported in Sift. Our vision is to support ~90% of the analysis that engineers need and do it realtime. For the most advanced 10% of analysis, we make it easy to push and pull data to and from Sift.
