Hardware test data management is the collection, storage, organization, and retrieval of measurements from tests of physical systems. It preserves the context needed to interpret each dataset, including the test article, configuration, and test conditions, so engineers can find relevant evidence and compare results.
Sift organizes telemetry by the system that produced it and the session in which it was recorded. An Asset represents the test article or system, Channels contain its individual signals, and a Run identifies a recording session such as a test or mission.
Teams add Metadata such as hardware revision, software version, and test phase to make that context searchable. For example, an engineer can filter for tests recorded on the same hardware revision before selecting Runs for comparison. Measurements stay associated with the context the team needs to interpret them.
