A Report Template is a reusable collection of Sift Rules for a defined review process. It saves the set of checks to apply when generating a Report, so repeated tests can be evaluated against a consistent checklist.
Sift Report Templates make an engineering checklist reusable. A team can group the Rules for a thermal test or controller checkout, then select that template when generating a Report for each relevant Run. Sift evaluates the selected checklist and presents the results for review.
Separate templates can capture the checks required for different test types or hardware configurations. They also support hardware regression testing by applying a consistent review checklist to repeated tests. When that checklist changes, generate a new Report to evaluate the revised selection of Rules.
